Okay. This is Stephen Cobb, as you know, and I’ve got some more information. And this is specific to your DUI case because when someone has been arrested for a DUI and we have an initial consultation or even follow through consultations, whether it’s with me or whether it’s with co-counsel, what happens is quite often important information gets forgotten. Even if we write it down, it still gets forgotten because there is so much information. So I wanted to make a special video for you to remind you about this because it’s so important. If you have been charged with a DUI, one of the reasons we get you a temporary driving permit is so that you can attend and complete Florida DUI School. Now let me explain. You are not admitting guilt and no, it’s not something that looks good to the court system, that’s not why we’re asking you to do it. It’s because unlike a lot of other states, you can have your driver’s license suspended two ways. You can have it suspended upon conviction of the DUI in the criminal courts, and you also can have it suspended by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV), an administrative suspension.

Some states have only one. In fact, most do. Florida has two ways you can get your driver’s license suspended. So it’s entirely possible that you could win your DUI case and have it suspended administratively or you can have your license restored at an administrative review hearing yet have it suspended after a DUI conviction. Either way, in order to get a hardship license, you are going to have to attend and complete DUI school. So instead of over promising and under delivering, what we would rather do is give added value. And this is the added value. Go ahead and take DUI school, get it out of the way because if your license is suspended and you can’t driver to the class, and at the current time that I am recording this and telling you about it, it’s 3 nights a week, usually 6 to 9 or 6:30 to 9:30. And for a lot of people, if they don’t live close to where the location is for the DUI school, it’s a real problem if they don’t have a driver’s license. So don’t delay. Register, attend and complete DUI school because if you need a hardship license, that’s going to be a requirement. Thank you for listening to me.
